EMD Power Plants: The Valencia Plant in Spain has been working with EMD since 1960 and has built more that 1,000 diesel-electric locomotives with an EMD engine and traction system.
Diesel-electric passenger locomotives: Vossloh has designed a wide variety of passenger locomotives, and has developed solutions to satisfy operators’ specific requirements. 4 axles, light weight, high speed (125 mph), traction & braking performances, safety and special functions, etc.
North American market: Vossloh has in-depth knowledge and experience with the application of the latest US standards e.g. APTA , FRA and AAR.

PL42AC Locomotive for New Jersey Transit

The PL42AC locomotive is the most advanced diesel-electric passenger locomotive ever built for the North American market. Solutions like single cab monocoque car body fully compliant with FRA and APTA, US equipment (braking system, safety signaling system, etc), a truck for 100 mph, disc brakes, redundant traction an control system, Advanced Central Diagnostic System, etc. have been totally or partially used to develop the VE 4500P locomotive.

EURO 4000

The EURO 4000 has been developed to be compliant with the future rolling stock European Standards (TSI or Interoperability standards to be effective by 2009). Solutions like Head End Power inverters, advanced exhaust silencer, cab insulation, etc. have been totally or partially used to develop the VE 4500P locomotive.
