38 Low-Floor Trolley Buses
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) has replaced its trolley buses, known in Philadelphia as trackless trolleys, with new ADA accessible, zero emission vehicles. A fleet of modern low floor buses with Vossloh Kiepe, Germany electrical equipment was built to the Authority's specifications. A diesel engine powered emergency power unit (EPU) provides power when the overhead line is not available, so that route deviations may be made.

Major components of the propulsion system are manufactured in the USA allowing the buses to comply with the Buy America Requirements.

188 modern low-floor buses with electrical equipment
Vancouver operates the second largest fleet of electric trolley buses in North America. The South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority (TransLink) has decided to replace the entire 20 year old trolley bus fleet with 188 modern low-floor buses (SETB) with electrical equipment from Vossloh Kiepe, Germany. Thus reliable and quiet, zero emission trolley buses will continue to be the backbone of local passenger transit in the Metro Vancouver. A good four months ahead of the contractually agreed date, the 188th trolley bus, model E40LFR, arrived in Vancouver.
